Traditionally uttappa or uttapam is made up of onion and is called onion uttappa.
This recipe for filling, oat-based cookies is probably the healthiest biscuit recipe I’ve come up with so far! And ok, healthy might be a stretch, but the recipe has plenty of goodness in it, and none of the terrible preservatives etc you encounter in.

I recently saw a recipe like this from OAMM that has you cook it overnight in the crockpot, but that's just too much trouble for oatmeal ;), so I adapted it for soaked oats (that sit in your fridge overnight), added in some molasses, and it gets zapped.
