A guide to making life a little more fabulous
Happy Derby Day, y’all! Sadly, I am looking for houses in California right now and not at home whipping up a bunch of Derby-themed foods and drinks for you, but I do have a couple things you could put together in time for the run for the roses.
Mother’s Day is coming up soon, and if you haven’t already booked a reservation for brunch or tea, you may be in trouble.
Since we were out of town for the Kentucky Derby, we decided to have a Preakness party (even though we are within driving distance of Baltimore, where the actual Preakness is run).
Being married to a man from Kentucky means there is a lot of bourbon in my life.
Going to a barbecue/cookout (or whatever you call grilling outside where you live) this weekend? I have a perfect side dish recipe that doesn’t require any cooking and takes only a few minutes to put together.
Fruit salad: It doesn’t sound very exciting, because it normally isn’t.
I know it’s only Thursday, but if you’re looking forward to a lazy weekend at home and don’t anticipate wanting to change out of your pajamas for brunch… you’re in luck.
When I was in elementary school, my best friend Erica and I would sometimes bake things.
Hey! How are y’all? I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve blogged, but we are currently up to our eyeballs in boxes, getting ready for our big move to California.
A few weeks ago, I happened to be watching The Pioneer Woman on Food Network, and she made raspberry lemonade.
I am not sure how I missed National Bourbon Day, but honestly? Just about every day is bourbon day in our house.
It’s almost of the Fourth of July, so for the next few days I’m going to try to focus on foods that would be perfect for your holiday cookout or get-together.
The Fourth of July is all about grilled meat and watermelon and cold beer… but you still need something to eat for breakfast.
I love watermelon, but every time I buy it I get a little overwhelmed by how much of it there is.
I’m not big on coffee (unless it’s mixed with a lot of sugar and milk), but I have been drinking tea since I was a little girl.
So, I think y’all know that I’m semi-obsessed with this fruit salad with mint sugar.
